Up for sale today is my Dean Duke. I built it up over the pandemic from a frame and the standover is a bit to tall for my 5'9 stature. Been ridden 15 miles or so once as a shake down ride, but beyond that I haven't ridden it.
I bought the frame and parts used separately then had them installed by a local shop and tuned in. The build is as follows.
Xtr 11 speed rear derailleur with Xt 11 speed shifter, sram 1x cranks with a 34t? Narrow wide front chainring. Rear cassette is an XTR titanium 11 speed. Seatpost is a Thompson elite with a Fizik Ariane saddle. Up front its got Dean Ti bars with oury clamp on grips. The brakes are XTR levers mated to BB7 mechanicals with Hope floating sawblade rotors. The headset is Chris King, and the wheelset is a early Stan's no tubes wheelset laced to Sun ringle hubs. The front fork is a Reba XX which was what the factory Duke build came with. The lockout does need to be serviced but fork currently holds air fine. Original build cost was $12,500 with a different groupset in 2012.
The current build sits at 25 lbs with 80mm of travel out back and 100mm up front(will have to confirm both of these but IIrc) definitely could be lightened up a pound or 2 without much work(like the rear is currently set up with a tube) really an awesome bike. But it doesn't fit quite right so better to find something else.
